Weber County Democrats Elect New Leadership

As we mentioned in the pod, the Weber County Democrats held their annual convention this weekend and elected new leadership for the next two years. They are:

- Zach Thomas, chair

- Aubrey Allen, vice chair

- Linda Mitchell, treasurer

Afterward, the Standard-Examiner did a brief story on the election, with some comments from Zach about what the county party is planning for the future.

Bishop Has No Money.... So Far

It looks like Rep. Rob Bishop is sticking to his guns and not running for re-election in 2020. According to an article in the Salt Lake Tribune chronicling fundraising reports from Q1 of 2019, Bishop raised no money.

We wondered, if that's true, who might be eyeing the open seat on both the Republican and Democratic side of the aisle.
