Kingmaker III: Rise of the Municipals

This week, JCP goes over a recap of the municipal election filings and who's running for mayor or city council in your town with special guest and Kingmaker, Oscar Mata. We also chat about the new Chair and Vice Chair for the Utah Democratic Party. Plus, Pinkies Up, Thumbs Down.

There's a New Sheriff in Town: UDP Elects a New Chair

Utah Democrats held their statewide convention on Saturday at Park City High School in Summit County. The Chair's race was hotly contested with Jeff Merchant coming out on top with 77% of the vote. In addition, Nadia Mahallati was elected Vice Chair, the only race to go to a second ballot. Incumbents Shelia Strivastrava and Michael Bryant were re-elected to their positions as Treasurer and Secretary, respectively.
