One Ogden, Indivisible

It's an echoey episode, but on the bright side, we've got two guests! Brenda Kidman is here to tell us all about the great work they're doing with Indivisible Ogden, and Oscar "Kingmaker" Mata is back as Proposition 3 enters it's final week.

You should listen despite the bad audio so you can learn how to win two tickets to the Biz Markie show Halloween Night at The Monarch provided by Indie Ogden! Buy tickets here!

Also stay until the end so you can hear us plug our new sponsor, Ashley Wolthius and the Elements of Real Estate! https://www.theelementsofrealestate.com

Weber County Commissioners Cool on Proposition 3

An article broke in the Standard-Examiner this week from Tim Vandenack, noting that two of the three county commissioners, Jenkins and Harvey, do not support Proposition 3 on the ballot. They are arguing that the current form of government works well because they all get along together.

We recently hosted a debate to tease out the pros and cons of approving Proposition 3 on your ballot and studying the form of our county government. You can listen at the link below:

Brenda Kidman, Indivisible Ogden

In the wake of the 2016 election, a group of former Democratic congressional staffers got together to create an organization that would work to encourage voter turnout against Trump and Republicans. That organization has morphed in to a nonpartisan chapter right here in Weber county called Indivisible Ogden.

They went from weekly protests in front of the federal building downtown to registering thousands of voters and encouraging participation.

We sat down with their leader, Brenda Kidman, to chat about what they've been up to and how to get involved.
