Run DNC ft. DJ Marcus

We're taking it nationwide (but always with a little Weber county flavor) this week as we sit down with former Utah Democratic Party Vice Chair and Democratic National Committee member Marcus Stevenson. Marcus explains how the DNC works, what changes he worked on while on the committee, and how the work at the national level actually helps Democrats counties like Weber.

We also do a short recap of Monday's Proposition 3 debate with Kingmaker Oscar Mata and Pinkies Up, Thumbs Down.

Also stay until the end so you can hear us plug our new sponsor, Ashley Wolthius and the Elements of Real Estate! https://www.theelementsofrealestate.com

JCP Holds a Proposition 3 Debate!

On Monday last week in the basement of the Main Branch of the Weber County Library, JCP held its first debate. The topic at hand: Weber County's Proposition 3 on whether to study the form of county government. Representing the for side was Kingmaker Oscar Mata and voicing the concerns of the against, South Ogden's Gary Boyer.

JCP wants to give a hearty thank you to both for being willing to hash out the issues and share their points of view.

We even had a cameo from County Clerk Ricky Hatch, which spawned an idea for a new segment on the show. You'll have to listen to find out what it is. (Or join the Junction City Forum on FB and check the polls).

Marcus Stevenson, fmr. Utah Democratic Party Vice Chair and DNC Member

We've often wondered how the DNC actually functions and what impact it has on Weber county. So, we invited Marcus to demystify the process for us. He shares his experiences working on the changes to superdelegates, the relationships that helped benefit Utah, and how that flowed all the way to the 2018 election in Weber county.
