The Kite Runner
We continue our series of meeting local candidates running for office with Jenny Kite, who's currently running for city council in Harrisville. Plus, we debate whether or not western Weber county should incorporate or join with a larger city like West Haven. And, as always, Pinkies Up, Thumbs Down and Upcoming events.
Listen to this week's episode here:
Big City Blues: Western Weber County Considers Incorporating
Western Weber county has been in the news of late after gathering signatures in the communities of West Weber, Warren, West Warren, and Taylor to study whether to incorporate as a city. Meanwhile, nearby cities like Plain City and West Haven wouldn't mind bringing those 4,700 residents in to the fold (along with all of their property tax revenue).
We chat about what it could mean for the community if the choose to found their own city or continue with the status quo under county authority.
